The Homeless & Housing Insecure Program (HHIP) provides support to students experiencing housing insecurities while enrolled at Shasta College. This program provides critical financial support, connections to resources and case management services to students in an effort to support housing stability and students' pursuits of their academic goals.

Students must be currently enrolled in 6 units or more to receive assistance from this program. Students who do not meet this eligibility requirement may still be connected to other resources and assistance for housing at The Basic Needs Resource Center (Building 2300, Room 2308).

Possible resources available include:

  • Financial assistance
  • Rent/deposit assistance
  • Emergency hotel stay
  • Utility assistance
  • Navigation assistance with applications, transitional housing, and other regional housing programs.
  • Case Management
