The Testing Center offers a variety of services to community members. Please continue reading to learn more about the test you are interested in, as well as to learn about the associated protocol and processes.
Rules for All Tests
Please do not bring books, food, beverages, electronic devices (such as cell phones, tablet, headsets, radios, etc.), pets or children to your test. Please make arrangements before arrival.
If a student is attending a university or college other than Shasta College, and they need to take a proctored test, students can make an appointment with the Testing Center by calling (530) 242-7751. Please note these types of tests are by appointment only.
Additionally, there is no proctor fee. Students will also need to purchase a parking permit. Parking permits are available at the selected kiosks in each parking lot for $2 per day. View the Campus Map for parking locations.
Finally, students must bring photo ID in order to take a proctored test.
The Shasta College Testing Center is a proctoring site for Pearson Vue Testing.
All Pearson Vue Tests must be scheduled and paid for by visiting https://home.pearsonvue.com prior to coming to the Testing office.
On the day of testing, students must purchase a permit from the select kiosks in each parking lot for $2.
Please read the confirmation email from Pearson Vue and follow all instructions. This includes bringing the appropriate picture ID(s) when coming in to test. Shasta College will enforce Pearson Vue rules and guidelines.
To schedule and pay for the following tests, please refer to www.pearsonvue.com and select Shasta College as your testing site.
The Testing Center offers the nursing ATI TEAS test every Wednesday morning at 9:00 am. TEAS test candidates can fill out the online form to schedule the TEAS test.
A picture ID is required to take this test.
Fees:
- Test fee payable to ATI when signing in to take the test. This is only payable by credit card.
Students submitting an application to the Shasta College Nursing Program may be given an authorization code to take the test one time at no cost. Students must contact the Nursing Program to pick up an application. This is a limited benefit and is on a first come - first serve basis.
Parking permits are available at the selected kiosks in each parking lot for $2.
Go to atitesting.com and “CREATE ACCOUNT” if you have not already done so.
Once you have created an account and are logged in, choose “TEAS at ATI” to sign up for a remote proctored test. Shasta College ADN is on the list of institutions that will receive scores for TEAS tests taking through this online option. If you would like your scores to go to a different institution you should confirm that it is on the list while you complete the registration process.
We recommend your read through the instructions and technical requirements to make sure you have the proper equipment and identification to be able to take the exam online. Our understanding is that ATI will not refund your money if you miss your registered test slot for any reason
The Testing Center is a proctoring site for Prometric.
All tests must be scheduled and paid for with Prometric prior to scheduling an appointment, appointment, except for DSST tests. See below on how to schedule tests for Prometric.
Instructions for ASE:
- Testing candidates must schedule their test online.
- A picture ID is required.
- Permits are available at the selected kiosks in each parking lot for $2.
Instructions for CLEP:
- Testing candidates must call the Testing office at (530) 242-7751 to schedule an appointment. See the CLEP website for more information on scheduling.
- Be sure to bring your registration ticket.
- A picture ID is required.
- Permits are available at the selected kiosks in each parking lot for $2.
Instructions for DSST:
- Testing candidates must call the Testing office at (530) 242-7751 to schedule an appointment. See DSST website for scheduling information.
- For DSST tests, Shasta College is considered a National Testing Center (NTC).
- A picture ID and credit card is required.
- Permits are available at the selected kiosks in each parking lot for $2.
Instructions for IQT:
- Testing candidates must schedule their test online at https://www.isoqualitytesting.com/takeatest.aspx
- Be sure to bring your IQT registration paperwork when testing.
- A picture ID is required.
- Permits are available at the selected kiosks in each parking lot for $2.
The Shasta College Testing Center is a proctoring site for Kryterion Testing.
All Kryterion Tests must be scheduled and paid for by visiting https://www.kryterion.com/ prior to coming to the Testing office.
On the day of testing, students must purchase a permit from the select kiosks in each parking lot for $2.
Please read the confirmation email from Kryterion and follow all instructions. This includes bringing the appropriate picture ID(s) and conformation email when coming in to test. Shasta College will enforce Kryterion rules and guidelines.

Parking Information
From Interstate 5, take Hwy. 299-East exit. Travel east on Hwy. 299 and exit at Old Oregon Trail. Turn left at the stoplight. Shasta College is one block down on the right. Take the first left once you enter Shasta College. Then take the next right. There will be a parking lot on the left side. Do not park in a space that says "Staff". The Testing Center is in the 2200 Building, Room 2215.
Parking enforcement is current in all lots. Our parking management system issues digital parking permits. Please have your vehicle’s make, model, color, and license plate number arriving at the selected kiosks on campus. Kiosks will be available in the Redwood (near the Theater) and Pine (near the Gym) parking lots for daily parking. The cost for daily parking is $2.00.

- Permits will allow students and visitors to park in designated areas only, and do not apply to accessible parking, dorm, carpool, visitor, or staff areas.
- Paid parking is required at all times when parking on campus.
- Daily permits may be purchased using kiosks located in the Redwood and Pine parking lots. Cash or credit is accepted at the pay stations. (Hourly meters are no longer available and semester permits cannot be purchased at the pay stations.)
- Ownership or use of permits are not transferable between persons. Violators will be cited for misuse of Parking Permit.
