Shasta College Summer Musical "CHICAGO" - Auditions & Performance Schedule

​“CHICAGO” comes to Redding this Summer!  The Shasta College 2014 summer musical will be the smash Broadway and cinema hit “CHICAGO” opening on Thursday, July 10 and running for three weekends through July 26 in the Shasta College Theatre. 

Auditions will be held March 25-26 and April 21-23, from 7:00-10:00 p.m. in the Shasta College Theatre (or call 242-2369 for another date if needed).  Auditions are open to the community, cast ages range from the teens to seniors, and cast members earn transferable college credits.  Rehearsals begin June 10.     

“CHICAGO” is the perfect musical with a universal tale of fame, fortune and “all that jazz.”  Winner of 6 Tony awards, “CHICAGO” will be directed by Dean Munroe.  Dr. Elizabeth Waterbury will conduct a full orchestra, with spectacular scenery by David Fraser, and exciting costumes by Hilary Fahey.  Shasta College has a long tradition of producing first class summer musicals aimed to thrill and enrich its regional audience.  For more information, call 242-2369 or visit shastacollege.edu/theatre.
