The Shasta College Spring play will be the award winning “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest” based on the iconic novel by Ken Kesey and written by Dale Wasserman. Veteran director Ken Hill returns to the Shasta College stage to direct a play that holds true to Kesey’s original vison and nuances of individualism and the mechanistic control wielded by authorities that formed the central catalyst to the emotional and cultural turmoil that was to shape an entire generation.

This play is a dramatic presentation of adult themes. There is profanity, explicit and strong language and sexual situations.  It is intended for mature audiences. “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest” will open on Thursday, March 19th at 7:30 P.M. Performances will continue Friday and Saturday nights, March 20th and 21st at 7:30 P.M. with a special Sunday afternoon matinee on March 22nd at 2:00 P.M.  Three final performances will run Thursday-Saturday, March 26TH-28TH, at 7:30 P.M. ASL Signing will be available on the Sunday Matinee and the final performance March 28th.

Tickets are available at the door for $8.00 (general admission) and $5.00 (seniors and students), or online through the Shasta College website (www.shastacollege.edu). For more information call the Division of Arts, Communications, Consumer and Social Sciences at (530) 242-7730.
