The City of Redding was successful in securing Federal funds to help improve a stretch of road north of Shasta College. The intersection at Old Oregon Trail/Oasis Road/Akrich Street will be totally reconstructed and the new grade will be over 3 feet higher. This work includes over ½ mile of new road reconstruction. To accomplish this the safest and fastest way, the intersection will be closed for 10 days starting July 11th at 7:00 p.m. and reopening by 6:00 a.m. on July 21st. The attached flyers provide more detail regarding the project and detours. Message Boards will be placed throughout the area to warn and guide motorists.
