Delta Dental Community Care Foundation Provides Endowed Scholarship for Shasta College Dental Hygiene Students

REDDING, CA  – Shasta College Dental Hygiene students will be eligible for an additional financial scholarship, thanks to the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Delta Dental of California. The Shasta College Foundation received a gift of $325,000 last month from the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation to create the Delta Dental Endowed Scholarship for Opportunity to provide perpetual support for Shasta College Dental Hygiene students. Out of this gift, $300,000 will be used to establish an endowment to provide ongoing scholarships to students, and $25,000 will be used towards scholarships for students in the near term until the endowment generates enough earnings for sustainable giving. 

“The Shasta College Dental Hygiene program is well-known and respected for the work that it does in our rural region, and we are very excited to be able to offer this new scholarship opportunity to our Dental Hygiene students,” said Andree Blanchier, Shasta College Foundation Executive Director.
