International Students
Our international students come from around the world! The majority of these students attend for a minimum of four semesters before transferring to a four-year university.

Shasta College is located in the City of Redding, approximately 349 kilometers north of San Francisco. Redding climate is generally moderate, with winter temperatures rarely below freezing and dry hot summers. The cost of living in Redding is much lower than in the San Francisco Bay and Los Angeles areas, making a Shasta College education more affordable than other California community colleges.
Shasta College is among the very few community colleges that have a dormitory on campus, providing a four-year college experience on a two-year college campus. The campus provides a pleasant and friendly atmosphere in a safe and secure environment.
Shasta College is beautifully surrounded by mountains and rivers and there are year round activities that you can enjoy at many of our recreational and resort areas. You are within easy travel distance to Sacramento in the south and to Oregon in the north. Mt. Shasta, Lassen Volcanic National Park and the Sun Dial Bridge are popular destinations that International students want to visit.
