The purpose of National Campus Safety Awareness Month (NCSAM) is to raise community awareness about making safe and healthy decisions. Throughout the month, Campus Safety collaborates with campus and community partners to host many workshops on a wide variety of topics. Please view the calendar of events we will be hosting throughout the month of September.

Events

  • SEPTEMBER 7 | Self-Defense Workshop @ Student Center Stage 2pm-4pm
    Free self-defense courses sponsored by Campus Safety, instructed by self-defense expert Hiroko Mori. The class will focus on simple and effective techniques that men and women can use to deter a strong, determined attacker.
  • SEPTEMBER 8 | Safety Fair @ The Quad 10am-2pm
    Join us for the Health and Safety Fair! There will be booths staffed by health and safety professionals who are eager to answer your questions and share their knowledge and resources.
  • SEPTEMBER 13 | Campus Safety Info Booths @ The Quad 9am-1pm
    Have questions for Campus Safety? Stop by their info booth and find the answers to your questions.
  • SEPTEMBER 15 | Coffee with a Cop @ 2000 Building 8am-10am
    Chat and get to know members of your local law enforcement departments.
  • SEPTEMBER 23 | ALICE Armed Intruder Training @ Room 2165 12pm-2pm
    Students and staff participate in active shooter scenarios and situations with discussions and open forums to follow.
