The Employment Development Department is dedicated to providing comprehensive workforce services to Californians, including job placement, career guidance, and access to employment resources. Our Veteran Services team focuses on assisting veterans with transitioning to civilian employment, offering tailored support to help them achieve their career goals.

• Assistance with creating and refining resumes and cover letters tailored to careers.
• Job search support, including identifying opportunities that align with skills and goals.
• Career counseling and guidance tailored to veterans’ unique experiences and needs.
• Connecting students to local employers through networking events and job fairs.
• Mock interviews and interview preparation.
• Guidance on accessing benefits, resources, and programs.
• Application support for jobs, internships, and apprenticeships.
• Labor market information for careers in Shasta County.
