Richard Lawrence is a retired educator and small business owner who has spent his life dedicated to the education of Californians. After graduating from California State University Chico he obtained a teaching credential and was hired as the James Logan High School Drafting & Engineering instructor in 1973. Over the course of 27 years he has educated over 8,000 young women and men preparing them for collegiate academics and the workforce. In 1990, he became the Unified School District's department head of the Mission Valley Regional Occupation Program, an initiative dedicated to career training of young adults for high tech and high demand fields. In addition, Richard has successfully operated his own drafting design business for 42 years. He is currently the President of the Shasta Cascade Farms Association, the founder of Tehama Tomorrow Political Action Committee, and a small cattle ranch operator in Tehama County.
