Michelle Hickok
Trustee, Board of Trustees
Current Term of Office - Area F
December 9, 2022 - December 11, 2026
Michelle is a proud, lifelong resident of Tehama County with her husband and young daughter. She holds a Bachelor's in Art degree in Communication Design from Chico State and has spent over half her life working professionally in the visual communications world. From working with individuals in developing a new brand identity, to managing and implementing design standards for large companies, her design portfolio is as storied and diverse as her clients.
Her postsecondary education experience was exceptional in kickstarting her professional career as she was able to work professionally in the field while earning her degree simultaneously, allowing her to put her education directly into real-world practice. Grateful for having an employer who not only supported this practice, but championed it with other employees, Michelle knew this was something she hoped to also offer if the opportunity ever presented itself. Fast-forward to today, Michelle is a business owner in the heart of Red Bluff, where she leads a team of passionate, creative problem solvers who enjoy working with individuals, businesses, organizations, and events to help bring their ideas to life.
She takes great pride in supporting her husband, who is a fire captain with the City of Red Bluff Fire Department and the technical director for the State Theatre. She also loves being with her fellow dance moms and cheering on her daughter and her dance friends as they light up the world through movement and music.
Michelle and her family stay involved in supporting their community, investing time and effort to make it a place everyone can grow and thrive in. She is part of the leadership team for Expect More Tehama, the county-level collective impact group that is part of North State Together. She is also the "tech crew glue" for the State Theatre Tech Team, helping load in and set up artists of all styles and genres that grace the theatre's stage. She is also an avid fan of the beautiful game of soccer, having played since childhood, officiated matches from youth recreation to Division 1 Playoffs, and she currently coaches her daughter's team as well as the Red Bluff High School Varsity Girls squad.
