David (Craig) Richie

Craig began his career in 1997, at Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department as a Sheriff’s Deputy and EMT Medic in Alabama, Tennessee and Florida. From there he went on to obtain his Police Officer Standards and Training Certificate from the Montgomery Police Academy, in Montgomery Alabama. In 2001, he left the Sheriff’s Department and began working at various Police Departments. In 2004 Craig received my Chief of Police State Certification. While working as a police officer he served in the following roles, Chief of Police, K-9 handler, Police Medic, Joint Task force Team, ICE Officer (Interstate Crime Enforcement), Interstate Drug Interdiction Officer and was finally attached to the DEA Drug Task Force (HIDA) Team. In 2014 he moved with his family to Redding, California and joined Shasta College Campus Safety Department as a Campus Safety Officer. Craig has enjoyed serving the college community ever since. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, hunting, watching sports and spending time with my family.
