Financial Disbursement Schedule

We make every effort to maintain the published disbursement schedule; however it is subject to change.

Paying Fees with Financial Aid, Remaining Funds, and Outstanding Balances

Your federal and state financial aid funds will first be used to pay any existing charges for the CURRENT term.

For example:

  • If you owe the college registration fees, campus/health center fees, course material fees, and/or dorm housing costs, your financial aid funds will be used to pay down your balance.
  • If you owe more for the current term than you have in available financial aid, you will be responsible for paying the balance.
  • If you are due to receive more financial aid than you owe for the current term, then you will receive a disbursement of the remaining funds.

Please Note: Current term financial aid cannot be used to automatically pay down a past term's outstanding balance.  Outstanding balances for a prior term will need to be paid by the student (a Payment Plan is an option).

Pell Grant (FPELL)

Each semester's Pell Grant (FPELL) is divided into equal portions and disbursed according to the schedule below. The schedule assumes that your financial aid file is complete (that is, you have no missing documents) by the time the term begins. Pell Grant disbursements are based on your enrollment intensity at the time of census every semester. Please review your specific course information as census dates can vary.

If you withdraw from a course after the census date, it will not affect your enrollment intensity for financial aid purposes, but the withdrawal will still count in your Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) calculation. However, if you withdraw from ALL your courses for the term, you may be subject to Return to Title IV and may owe financial aid funds back.
