Refund Policy
The Enrollment Fee is refundable if a class is dropped during the first two weeks of the semester or the first 10% of the class (short term and summer classes). It is the student's responsibility to drop class(es).
The Student Health Fee and Campus Center Fee is refundable if a student withdraws from all classes during the first two weeks of instruction or the first 10% of all classes (short term and summer classes.)
Students who are awarded California College Promise Grant (CCPG) after they have paid their registration fees will be reimbursed only for the semester in which they are granted the CCPG. The CCPG will not be applied retroactively to prior semesters.
Contact the Admissions and Records Office for the Out-of-State Tuition refund policy. Refunds will be mailed each month. Please keep your address current with the Admissions and Records Office.
Refund Payment Methods
- If you have paid with a credit card, the refund will be issued back to that card if the refund is processed within 90 days of when payment was made. If it is over 90 days or the payment was made with cash, your refund will be mailed as a check. It is important to make sure that your address is up-to-date in our system to ensure that you receive your refund.
- Typically refunds are issued every other week, except 1 week before a full-term semester and will start back up 2 weeks after school starts. During this time if you have dropped all of your courses and do not plan on attending please call (530) 242-7663 with any questions regarding refunds.

Please Note: If the class has a TBA, no schedule assigned, or is an online class, the class meetings are counted every day (Monday-Friday) from start date to end date excluding weekends and holidays, to determine the number of class meetings. If you have questions, please call (530) 242-7650.
Refunds for Non-Resident Tuition
Non-Resident tuition refunds for classes less than a full-term length will be prorated according to the schedule.

Important Note About Non-Payment
You may be dropped for non-payment; however, it is ultimately the student’s responsibility to be aware of the refund dates and adhere to the drop deadlines in order to receive a full refund or to not owe registration fees.
Shasta College reserves the right to change fees and related refund policy without notice.
