Emergency Medical Responder
It's not too late to register for the Summer Scheduled Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) class!
Although it is not a pre-requisite for the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) class at Shasta College, it has proven to prepare potential EMT students for success in the EMT class. Shasta College's Emergency Medical Responder class also provides you with the following:

This certificate is also a pre-requisite for registering in the Shasta College Fire Fighter Academy.
With your California Public Safety First Aid certificate, you will meet the minimum EMS training requirements for the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE). This certificate is also a pre-requisite for registering in the Shasta College Fire Fighter Academy.
