Computer Information Systems Overview

Shasta College offers courses that prepare students for the Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) industry certification exam. Students completing either of these certifications will have a solid foundation of skills and knowledge that can lead to a successful career in the Computer Networking field. Most entry-level positions have salaries around $35,000 per year depending on geographical location. It is recommended that students completing the CCNA classes at Shasta College also complete the complementary course work for a certificate or degree in computer networking.

Under this agreement, Shasta College uses instructional materials developed by Cisco Systems to deliver training in the networking field, and facilitates delivery of the program in local high schools.
