Selection Criteria & Enrollment
A new Dental Hygiene class is admitted every fall semester, and space in the program is limited to seats available with maximum of 12 students per year. Final selection of qualified applicant candidates is competitive using Selection Criteria based on a Point System (see below). Tied scores will be determined by random ranking based on the date the application was submitted. At least three (3) alternates for the enrollment will be chosen from the application process during this time.
As enrollment spaces are determined, applicants scheduled for enrollment in the next class will receive email notification of their status. If an applicant cannot attend when offered a position in the program, they will be removed from the applicant pool, and the applicant will need to re-apply during a subsequent application filing period.
Students who are not selected for the class have the option of re-applying during a subsequent application filing period. Students who have been notified of disqualification may contact Admissions & Records (530-242-7650) to discuss actions required to meet qualification standards.
Upon invitation into the Dental Hygiene program, students are required to complete all time sensitive clinical requirements and attend an orientation.
