Gaby Rector-Peek Memorial Scholarship

Please join us in honoring the life and legacy of Gaby by donating to the Gaby Rector-Peek Memorial Scholarship for the Shasta College Dental Hygiene Program. Gaby, a cherished member of the inaugural graduating class of 2001, was a remarkable individual whose legacy continues to inspire.

Gaby was a brilliant, dedicated, compassionate and highly skilled dental hygienist whose impact extended far beyond her professional work. Her kindness touched everyone she met—whether family, friends, or strangers. Gaby sadly passed away from Glioblastoma in 2013. 

Gaby worked for the Rollings Hills Clinic in Red Bluff. She served as the dental hygiene adviser on the California Rural Indian Health Board. She generously dedicated her spare time to serving foster youth and volunteering at dental fundraising events. She was also a proud supporter of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Butte and Glenn counties, a nonprofit organization that advocates for neglected and abused children. Above all, Gaby was a loving wife to her husband, Brad, and a loving mother to her three children: Kelsey, Sara, and Michael.
