A 1.6221 Megawatt system of solar panels will be installed above spaces in the East parking lot, leading to long-term energy cost reduction for the District and increased sustainability on our campus. This unit alone will reduce approximately 1.86 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually, and when combined with the preexisting solar array on campus, will meet 80% of the college’s yearly energy needs! The system will also feature ten EV charging stations to enable students and staff to charge their electric vehicles during class or working hours.
